What is this screening?

A urine test to check for the infection or a swab of the cervix. Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted disease that can infect both men and women. It can also cause permanent damage to a woman’s reproductive system, making pregnancy difficult or impossible.

Who needs this screening?

All sexually active women 24 years or younger and women 25 years or older who are at increased risk for infection.
